1. What is Shekinah's mission?

Our mission is clearly set out in our governing document:

To promote the care and welfare of children with cerebral palsy and their families primarily but not exclusively within Bohol, Philippines. This will be done by the provision of education, training and advice in day workshops and provision of practical products to support those individuals, for public benefit.

2. Where does Shekinah CP Support work?

We work on the island of Bohol, which is in the Visayan region of the Philippines

3. Who runs the charity?

We are setting up as CIO (Charitable Incorporated Organisation) and to run on the 'foundation' model. This means we are run by a small group of people (trustees) who make all the key decisions.

A CIO is registered with the Charity Commission and trustees have no liability for CIO debts.

4. How can I donate?

Currently, you can donate directly to our charity bank account.

5. Where does my donation go?

  • To provide the travel, food and (basic) accommodation expenses of our wonderful workshop volunteers.

  • To pay the local venues for our workshops.

  • In addition we provide equipment and some medicines that our families may need to improve both the physical and emotional well being of their cerebral palsy children.

  • We support events that our CP families may attend to support their needs.
